Join Farah Siraj, Associate Faculty Director, for a Music Workshop on "The Music of Jordan, Arabic instruments and influences of Arabic music in Flamenco". This will be an engaging workshop with and introduction to Arabic music and instruments with a focus on Jordan. Farah will also discuss the parallels between Arabic music and flamenco, and how the two fuse easily. In addition, Farah will discuss some of her experience Using Music as a tool to raise awareness about humanitarian causes. This workshop will be in anticipation of her concerts, also free and open to using Music as a tool to raise awareness about humanitarian causes. This workshop will be in anticipation of her concert, also free and open to students later on at night at 8:45pm EDT. Students are invited to attend both the workshop and the concert if they would like.
