KC4 - PiH
Welcome to Philadelphia, to the University of Pennsylvania, and the 4th floor of Kings Court!
I am a senior in the College, majoring in Health and Societies with a concentration in the History of Medicine, and a minor in Urban Studies. I lived on the 2nd floor of English House in my own first year, and am delighted to spend another year with the Perspectives in the Humanities (PiH) community!
Outside academics, I am active as a Senior Peer Advisor for new students in the College, as the Performance Director for Penn Ballet, and in the interfaith community as the Advocacy Chair for PRISM Interfaith. I am a member of the Monthly Meeting of Friends of Philadelphia (the actual Quakers, and yes, I love oatmeal!), which meets in a beautiful 215-year-old meetinghouse in Old City, and am active in pastoral care and social action among other young adult Friends in the Philadelphia area. When I have free time, I enjoy practicing, watching, and choreographing ballet; reading, especially nonfiction; knitting; studying religion and spirituality; learning delicious recipes; considering the past and future well-being of society; and journal-writing.
Trying to find your second home at Penn, outside KCECH? I'm closely connected to the Chaplain's Office and the interfaith community, to the LGBT Center (via the student group PennAces and the LGBTC Mentorship program), to Civic House (via the Community Engagement Internship program), and to the performing arts community. If none of those sounds like you, check out the Vice Provost for University Life website, and browse the many cultural centers, identity-based student groups, and other communities that Penn students can belong to and engage with. Let any of the RAs and GAs in the house know if you need a hand!
