Who can reserve?
  • Current residents at King's Court English College House
  • Priority to House Staff
What can I reserve?
  • Seminar Room, Private Dining Room (PDR), Blue Lounge, Music Room, TV Lounge. You can find more information about these facilities here. (Note: 1938 Lounge and Game Room are restricted facilities, click here for more info.
When can I reserve and for what time periods?
  • Reservation weeks start on Monday and end on the Sunday of the same week. All reservations requests must be submitted for approval on the Sunday of the week before the intended reservation.
  • Reservations can be made for time slots after 8AM and before 10PM.
  • Each reservation will be automatically two hours in length.
  • Each resident can have 4 hours maximum per week. Any violators will lose reservation privileges without notice .
  • No reservations of rooms will be approved during reading days and final exam periods.
Where can I reserve?
  • The only way to reserve is through our website.
  • Do not approach staff about reservations, they will refer you here anyway.
Why should I reserve?
  • While KCECH's facilities are normally free to all who use them, reservation gives the resident special privileges to a room or lounge.
How do I reserve?
  • First, see if you qualify (Check "who can reserve")
  • Next, have your Penn ID# ready. (The Penn ID# is the middle set of digits on your Penn Card)
  • Then fill out this form. REMEMBER, the form is only a REQUEST - your reservation is NOT APPROVED until you receive an email that says you are approved.
  • Finally, refer to the General Rules for Reservation. Violation of these rules will result in loss of reservation privileges without notice.

General Policies

  1. The 1938 Lounge and Game Room are only available for reservation through the Special Events committee. See below for more information.
  2. The Seminar Room, the Private Dining Room, the Blue Lounge, Music Room and TV lounge are open to reservations. Reservations for these rooms are open to residents only.
  3. Reservations must be made by 5PM on the Sunday before the intended reservation. If you miss the deadline, your request will not be processed. YOU are responsible for reserving the room in advance. No room reservations will be given after the deadline, even if the location is available for use.
  4. Reservations are awarded following this priority: 1) KCECH staff then 2) KCECH residents. Outside groups and individuals may not reserve KCECH facilities.
  5. No reservation shall be given after 10PM or before 8AM on any given day.
  6. KCECH reserves the right to suggest a different location for the reservation if the reserved location is deemed inappropriate for the activity.
  7. Users are responsible for checking their email to see if their requests have been approved. No reservation is final until approved by the Communications Manager.
  8. KCECH reserves the right to cancel any reservation at any time when it sees a conflict with house events.

Rules and Regulations

  1. Users of KCECH will be held responsible for all behaviors and damages incurred during the period of occupancy.
  2. All users of KCECH are expected to abide by all Residential Living rules and regulations as well as any applicable rules and regulations of the University of Pennsylvania.
  3. Rooms must be left in the exact condition in which they were found, whether in cleanliness, furniture organization, etc.
  4. The user must be present throughout the period of occupancy and is responsible for all people present during the occupancy.
  5. Users are expected to uphold the room capacity limitations and rules established by the Fire Marshall's office.
  6. Alcohol is not permitted in any public space.
  7. Any breach of these rules and regulations will result in the immediate revocation of future reservations privileges.
