Join the listserv!
The Perspectives in Humanities program caters to a broad range of interests. Our primary method of communication between members is the PIH listserv.  Regular emails are sent out containing all the information you need to attend or participate in any of our events.  All residents of KC4 are automatically added to the list, but if you don't live here, don't panic!  You can still be on the list--just send an email to clevitz@sas.upenn.edu.
Are you a freshman?
Kings Court is the place for you! Kings Court/English College House is in the heart of campus, with great cafés, restaurants and shopping right outside your doorstep. Oh yeah, it's also just a block or two away from many academic buildings. Beyond regular PIH activities, you'll enjoy numerous study breaks and floor/house events. Living here will be a great opportunity to meet and mingle with people who share your interests! With some of the biggest rooms on campus, Kings Court is Penn's best kept secrect.

Are you an upperclassman?
You are welcome to join PiH and participate in our events, though there is currently no upperclassman housing for PiH. Email clevitz@sas.upenn.edu for more information.

The Penn Humanities Research Fellowships - Get paid to do your own research project!
We kid you not! Perspectives in Humanities and the Penn Humanities Forum offer six research fellowships for undergraduate research in the humanities. The Fellowships are awarded each Spring to exceptional undergraduates to conduct meaningful research in the Humanities during the following school year. The Humanities Research Fellowships are entering their fourth year of existence, with the first Fellowships awarded for the 1999-2000 school year. All interested undergraduates are encouraged to apply.

The Humanities Research Fellowships enable Penn undergraduates to conduct independent research in the humanities and publish their findings. Fellows use their grants to pursue a research topic in the humanities focusing on the Forum's annual topic. (See the description on the Penn Humanities Forum’s web page at http://humanities.sas.upenn.edu/topics.htm). The winners of the Fellowships will become members of the Perspectives in Humanities Program, with the opportunity to live in residence with the Program.

The Fellowships are meant to facilitate individual research projects, not just independent study coursework, although students can seek credit for their research. Students should consult with a Penn Faculty member about their project prior to applying. Students are encouraged, although not required, to work with a faculty advisor during the course of their research.
